This a Murchison Rd plan to create NC Military business corridor similiar to something you would see in the D.C. Metro. This area is the poorest section in the county & can become the richest within 5-10 yrs especially when they close Bragg Blvd (widening the road for only military traffic only). Then widening Murchison Rd to 6 lanes from Spring Lake to Shaw Heights neighborhood. I notice so many investor including FSU (Fayetteville State University) are very interested in that area, FSU wants to expand its campus on the site. I am very excited to see what Fayetteville will look like in the next 8 yrs, I can see big changes on the way for Fayetteville (maybe we will get the respect we deserve in NC). Fayetteville is in a great location which is stated in the All American Corridor "Topic" for being located between The Triangle & Wilmington. Also not to forget the next stretch of the Fayetteville Outer Loop begins at the beginning of next year.

As you know with development there comes losses, I really don't see it as a big deal but maybe you can judge for yourself.
