I love the North Carolina basketball team. There offense is good and there defense is a sting to the opponents.

They got lucky with Hansborough not getting hurt. I am not a UNC fan but I am happy for them and the kid for not getting hurt. I am happy for the first time in forever a local (RI) team is relevant again. Hopefully URI can make some more noise this year.

I think UNC might have some problems soon during the ACC season due to junior Bobby Frasor injuring his ACL. He is a great backup who can play either guard position. One of UNC's strengths is it's depth and that just got a little shallower.

With conference play beginning I am interested to see how the top 10 changes. Right now it appears top heavy in terms of quality of these teams to the rest; but with teams finally playing some real opponents it will be good to see how these teams shake out.

Big 1 vs 2 matchup this week with in-state Memphis taking on Tennesee. This is the only real game left on the schedule in which Memphis could lose. It should be a good game.

I've been looking forward to this game for months. I think this UT team is our best team in the nation. I'll be shocked to see Memphis win this one.

Duke lost to Miami, FL last night!

Another big game that not many people know about is South Alabama vs. Western Kentucky tonight in Bowling Green, Ky. South Alabama is 21-5 (13-2) and WKU is 21-5 (13-1). South won the first meeting in Mobile earlier this year and they will likely meet again for the Sun Belt championship which happens to be in Mobile, AL in March.

Wow! #2 Tennessee went in to #1 Memphis and got the "W' 66-62! That's impressive. This loss was probably good for Memphis. Now they can move on with the rest of their season. Going undefeated thru the regular season in the recent past has not carried over very well in the NCAA Tourney.

Nice call dgreco  Tennessee became the one hit wonders.

My team LSU is struggling to say the least; yet they only lost to Tennessee by 2 points. So I thought they were a little over-rated til they beat Memphis. Did they spend too much emotion in that game??? Vandy is a good team.

March Madness is just around the corner!!!

Vandy is a very tough place to play. They have been very tough there over the years. For those that don't know what it's like, it has a raised floor and the teams are not on the sidelines. They are under the baskets. Tennessee is a good team, but they do not really have a center. Teams that have big men can give them fits. If Lawson comes back full speed, North Carolina is the best team in the country. Without Lawson, NC is just a good team with a tough as nails big man down low. I don't think that any team this year is without any problems and I think that that should make for an interesting tournament.

I feel like for the next week or so we may see some good upsets sort of like what we saw in the football season. I also hope this season brings another great George Mason type story I love the upset.
