Sort of a broad topic but I thought it would be nice to have a list of basic things to consider when working on site designs. You probably could break this up into three sub-categories...

1. Brownfields

2. Greyfields

3. Greenfields

Tips, hints, suggestions, whatever...

Basically, when sitting down and looking at a site for the first time, what are the first things you consider...what are the steps you go through to get to the final product? If this topic generates enough interest maybe we can even do some trial runs of user submitted sites from the GR metro area?
