Thanks for posting the youtube clip. For anyone who isn't familiar with Phelps, this clip says it all.

I would dearly love to have disposable cash to hire a private investigator to keep a daily eye on Phelps. There's some gay sex going on for him, or the desire for it. Someone who is comfortable with his/her own sexuality would never go off on the deep end about someone else's sexuality.

I'm not sure I needed to see that video. Phelps' continued existance is utterly detrimental to human kind and will likely result (even if indirectly) in many lives being lost due to his words and actions. Let's hope that in a twist of justice one of those is his own. He is a great example of why the human race is doomed to self anhiliation. Why are our most f**ked up members also the most charismatic?

^ That's a loaded one, no, I don't find him charismatic, though I can recognize that he is so. The same way we can say Hitler was publicly charismatic.

His main problem is the complete radicalness of his message, the universally deplorable to everyone action of picketing a person’s funeral. If he moderated himself and faked the “human tricks”, such as smiling and nodding and letting someone speak while completely ignoring them and then launching into a more subtle and glib brand of hate mongering, he would be a national leader, as he has all the other skills necessary to do this.

That video just infuriated me more... I have no respect for this man or his beliefs. He wants nothing but attention and to exacerbate the misery of others. He is an abomination to free speech and Christianity. Phelps doesn't have many supporters in this country and one day, he and his followers will fade away. That can't happen too soon.

It turns out that the biker group that shields military funerals from the sicko Phelps has been around since 2005. The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) motorcycle group has surpassed 10,000 in membership, and is now present in all 50 states.

However, the group is more than just a defensive presence. Members pick up and escort family members to the funerals, and proactively seek to change the environment around the funerals with their patriotic presence. The group claims a diverse membership from CEOs to housewives.

The PGR group deserves all our admiration and thanks. These people are true patriots. A link to their site:

Westboro Baptist Church is up to it again, they are going to protest the Memorial of Eve Carson in Chapel Hill. They were also present at her funeral. Eve was the student body president for the University of North Carolina. The university has allocated space and protection for them is being provided.

This is just wrong...

his attitude in the video shows he has a lot of hate. The signs that were there are just ridiculous and no matter how much someone has hate for someone or something a funeral isn't the place for that. The signs were America Hates hags and God Hates hags were the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.
