Yes, this building was featured a while back on Kunstler's eyesore of the month. Not because the building is ugly, but because of it's total disrespect for the urban environment around it. It adds no life to the street. And I bet ice falling off that entrance is pretty dangerous in the winter.

With all the facets and angles the MIT's tech building has, it's not surprising that it leaks and has structural problems. But even conventional buildings have got their problems. About 15 years ago a 30+ story high rise condos was constructed. When complete, it was the tallest building in my home town. About six months after it opened, the building experienced similar structural and leakage problems. As a result the building was closed for about a year to undergo repairs and replacement of all of its exterior skin.
