Does anyone know of any up to date information on the new MGM theme Park in Southaven, MS, outside of Memphis? Have they started construction or had a groundbreaking yet? I am curious to know more about this place. Any links that soemone can provide on it?

I have been watching and waiting for some sort of announcement about the Riverbend Crossing/MGM project. I should think that we would be hearing something soon. The suggestion that it might be more like Downtown Disney than Six Flags is probably correct. I'll be posting something as soon as word is out.

Wait a second. I thought the groundbreaking or first turning of the dirt already happened back in August? Wasn't there a story in the Commercial Appeal about it scheduled for August 1, 207? I figured it had already begun. But if it hasn't then I wonder if it will unfortunately fall through? This could be a big draw for Memphis along with the new plans for Graceland.
