I've been hugged by the huggers! They weren't decked like you describe though...that is way more fun. I wondered if it was some sociology experiment or something similar (I've seen people turn down a hug) but then decided to just enjoy it and not ruin it by thinking!

Taste of Charlotte is downtown this weekend. Tryon is blocked with music, food, and drinks. This is typically a pretty fun street fest...

At least they did try. That spot, surrounded by the jail, courthouse, and 277 is a bustling mess during the week, but dead on the weekends. Would be different if dear Reese weren't holding up plans to change 2nd Ward and Marshall Park with his lawsuits.
