But at the same time, New Haven is seen as better than Hartford already. If the state boosts the hours for one, it'll do the rest. And New Haven would improve on itself with the later hours, so does South Norwalk for the Lower Fairfield crowd.

So Hartford would have to do something besides later hours in order to become equal or better than New Haven.

On a side note, the city of Lynn in Mass. is thinking about reducing its bar closing hours from 2 to 1. It didn't want to be the late night hotspot of the North Shore, or at least the city government didn't. Some bars sued to keep the later hours. Check the Boston Globe for more, the article was in today's issue.

I think Room 960 is doing a good job drawing some big names in the electronic/dance scene to Hartford. Stole Tiesto from Boston with the Constitution Plaza gig a few months ago. Got other big names in the scene to appear there too, BT was there about a month ago.

Hartford needs to find its niche, and start improving on it. Got a start, but still needs help to overtake N.H.
