Eddie Perez's "no-pothole" platform

So, when Perez was going through the motions on why he should be re-elected, one of the memorable quotes was "when was the last time you hit a pothole in Hartford", implying that Eddie was doing great things fixing up the little things that annoy Hartford residents and visitors. Well, maybe Eddie levitates to work every day, because I've come to the realization that he has no clue. Farmington Avenue is horrible. Reserve Rd is a literal roller-coaster. Main Street north of downtown makes my truck want to tip over every time I hit that one little dipsy-doodle. Brainard Road sucks. And the list goes on and on. I love how politicians throw out little blurbs that are incredibly unsubstantiated....

Did anyone read the article in the Courant today?

Its a pre-curser to his speach tonight.

apparently one of his main "projects" for this term in office is making plans for the aging XL center. not sure what thats all about, but it seems to me that his end game is to bring a new arena to Hartford and return the NHL. I think thats what he wants to be rememberd for. I think there are far more important things to do in the city, but for a government leader to al pro sport as perez is an attractive thing for any prospective team owner.
