What's the deal with the beale street landing project?

Is the project ever going to happen? I keep hearing delays on the project. What are y'alls thoughts about the project????

They've been talking about this for as long as I've been in this town, I hate to be pessimistic, but I'll believe this when I see it...

There are a lot of agency hurdles as well as those related to historic preservation of the cobblestones. I'm looking forward to it moving forward as well. I'm not sure when the video will go public. I'll post a message here as soon as it is authorized to be released.

a skatepark is not needed at this location, there are several in the suburbs and the kids that do skate downtown take advantage of the curbs, railings, etc in the downtown streetscape. This would only serve a dozen or so kids.
