Some Tiger stadium construction updates (as of July 17th) from lsusports.net ...the addition to the South-end is now going up quick....and the bricks look good in the North Stadium Plaza

I remembered an article saying they would have it done for the 2013 season, and I meant done. It was a typo.

 

EDIT: it was a reveille article. Don't know how reliable it is though.

They are out of the dirt....so long as we don't get hurricanes this year, the south end zone will be ready in time for the 2014 season.

I hope to see us break the 100,000 seat threshold.

I liked the music, and that expansion of the stadium is coming along nicely. The baseball stadium looks unfinished, are they still adding things to it?

Elsewhere....A lot of dirt moving in & around LSU campus

*The mixed-use project at the old Alex Box stadium/demolition of old dorms to the north...along Nicholson

*A crane constructing another parking garage with more condo's(at least 4 floors?) on the vacant land NE of Southgate Towers(the Burbank side at West Parker)

*The Flats at East Boyd next to the 333 Lofts

*next to the Crescent condo's at University Lake off of Stanford Ave

Located just south of the LSU campus btwn West Parker Blvd & East Boyd Drive; with it being rezoned to include the 749-space parking garage; have to wonder how many floors it may go up on the tract of land?

^It will be located =to a couple of blocks NE of the Southgate Towers btwn Dodson Ave. & Swire

 

It looked like other condo's were already being built in the vacant space next to Southgate Towers behind Burbank & the end of West Parker...will have to take some pics when the opportunity comes

 

Thanks Steve   I saw in this morning's Advocate it will be 6 floors...it should really stand out at that location & give West Parker a different bigger city feel!

It's kind of amazing, all these apartments they're building. I guess more people are coming, in response to increased exposure and the designation as flagship university.

Oh yeah, those are called something to the effect of Sterling at Burbank. They look nice but are mighty close to the Southgate parking garage. If you parked in the garage you could almost open up your window and jump to the car door.

Yes sir Dan...riding thru there Friday Night saw it was Sterling at Burbank(5-floors) that is currently going up...it is tightly wedged btwn Southgate Towers(garage) & those duplexes...
