Kennywood sold

The owners of Kennywood have just announced that they are selling the park (along with all their other holdings, Sandcastle, and Idlewild) to a Spanish firm that runs amusement parks all over Europe. The firm says nothing will change at the park, and they will keep the same management and employees.

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing (or neutral). But the owners of Kennywood have turned down many potential buyers in the past, and they claim that this is the first buyer who shares their vision for the park. So I suppose if they trust this firm, then it should be okay.

I do wonder how this will affect the talked-about expansion plans.

I don't know how certain it was, but I'd read somewhere that they wanted to expand the park and add some more rides (including coasters).

I belive they had intent to purchase the shopping center accross from the park and add some more rides. I can't remember if they went through with it or it fell through.
