This is the best news ever since old man hammons hammered other hotel proposals out. Hammons, don't ever you dare touch this one. I'll send you nuke missiles at all your hotels if you do that.

They're considering to make new hotel on Square or nearby!

McGowan said he remains interested in building a boutique hotel in downtown Springfield and hinted he has another announcement to make in the spring.

"It can be on or near the square," McGowan said. "It's not a done deal."

We have to remember that its not a done deal, however I think this is awesome. Mr. McGowan is really interestes in downtown Springfield. We keep having more and more Kansas City and St. Louis developers come down here to build. Maybe it is a new trend for Springfield... I think someone needs to build a new skyscraper taller than Hammons Tower.
