Moratorium on building to be lifted next month.

The moratorium on building permits because of sewer expansion and repairs should be lifted next month. There are signs of a building boom on the horizon; Downtown the new Bank of America building will start in a couple of months, the convention center will has already started, The hotel and marina next door to the convention center will start construction by February, expansion on the Best Western downtown will start in the spring, The View on Water Street condos will start in late spring. This is just the projects that have announced construction dates. The Autumn Hall mixed use, The Fairfield mixed use, and the continued expansion of Mayfaire are also beginning with the end of the moratorium. Three hotel/motels are also being built on Eastwood Road, construction has begun on all three of these.
