CHICAGO - Rows of Warren Ave

Here's some photos of a two block stretch of Warren Ave near California. This area is known as East Garfield Park and is not too far west of downtown Chicago. The neighborhood has suffered some neglect in its time, but is now coming back to life, and many renovations are taking place.

The Sears Tower is visible in the distance.

Great Pics.

That street needs to be narrowed ever so slightly and they should add some trees. I realize it's winter and the trees that are there have no leaves - and I'm sure that this neighborhood like so many other suffered from dutch elm disease (or some other) - but it could really use some nice tall leafy trees.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting these photos! Seems like a very eclectic neighborhood. During the time that I lived there I didn't make it to this area but there were quite a few neglected areas that I chose to stay away from unless the train was moving through. :)
