Warehouse Row to undergo $30 Min rennovation

Jamestown Properties is getting properties from Main to 11th and are included as part of the project with Warehouse Row.

Included in the project are: Japanese Restaurant, 180 room hotel in North Building (construction begins when Cigna moves out in Sep, opening in 2009), 213 jobs including existing 150.

Renovations begin in April

City and county will transfer the fountain property at 11th and Lindsay.

Leasing for national retailers begins in May.

**This is the current proposal nothing is 100% set yet.

This is yet another great announcement for Chattanooga. Impending recession? Not here in Chattanooga. There seems to be no slowdown to development here.

Wow, I remember when this opened as I was living there and now a renovation. I can't say enough how impressed I am with what they have done with DT.

The fist part of upgrades has begun:

Awnings

Paint, Carpet

Restrooms

New lighting, furniture

Stores will be allowed to have individual fronts on Lindsay and Market Streets (this will encourage exterior pedestrian traffic)

Developer still working with city on more street parking on Market St.

Proposed

Hotel and more parking

convert the Breezeway between North and South Buildings to vehicle traffic
