Study OK'd for $1B city center

The closer this ends up being to the Southfield Town Center the better. After all all those office employees need some where to go on their lunch break.

I wonder how Troy is going to repond to this downtown proposal.

Seriously though, the more walkable Southfield becomes, the better.

Well, Troy already has its new plans and developments.

I think this will be good for Southfield.

Good. That section of Evergreen right now is a suburban nightmare. It'll be nice to see Southfield move towards having something of a real downtown.

I agree. A more comprehensive Southfield node will only make Metro Detroit stronger. This is how things should have went all along, reinvesting in the inner-ring instead of building new town centers in what is still the middle of nowhere for so many of these other faceless no-mans-lands out in the boonies.

No, don't tell that to Bruce Townshipers. Their downtown blows Romeo out of the water. Tell people on your trip to London that you're from Bruce Township and they'll be jealous and think you are friends with Hollywood A-lists. Tell the same people you're from Romeo and they'll look at you like you're from Mars.
