$1195 /1br? Colt wants $1275/1br, presumably with parking for at least 1 car. The AA building has no parking. Anyway, is $1200 the price range for young professionals? A young man working at Mass Mutual Enfield is looking for apartment in Hartford. I think he is hoping for $800/1br.

I think that 1200 is accurate. As I mentioned in another thread, "the mills" in Manchester is a major housing location for young professionals. The apartments at the mills get 1200/unit with parking included. I would say 1200 is appropriate for downtown. If I was a young professional I would likely find a friend and split a 2 beedroom unit, but I suspect there are plenty of people that are not as tight as I am.

Is the mills in Manchester 1200/1 br or 2 br? If I am single and without a live together soulmate, I will need to make over 60K a year to afford a 1200 1br apartment. I can also buy a house/condo and build equity with the same 1200 a month. If it is 1200 for a 2 br, I can get a roommate pay only 600. That makes the target market much wider.
