Growing up in a hosehold that used to own racehorses, I have come to appreciate the sport. Personally, I like Smarty and I think he is talented. I think he has a chance because of the limited field. Please respond!!!!!!

I'll be betting against Smarty. But I'm a sucker for an underdog and they're all going to be longshots against this horse. I was in awe watching him pull away in the Belmont.

Smarty has a real good chance but anything can happen.

Owning a racehorse is on my list of things to do... someday.

brickell, owning a racehorse or racehorses is an incredible experiance. My family has had a rich history in the sport and the rewards are incredible.

Well my dad owned some racehorses in smaller catagories than the pro group. We mostly raced in the southeast. Mostly at Gulfstream Park and some in Saratoga at the raceway. My extended family has been successful as my great uncle owned the last Triple Crown racehorse, Affirmed in 1978. The process is very complicated but it starts with finding trainers and a suitable stable must be found. Horses are usually bought at auctions and trained. Upon that, one must enter the horse in smaller races before climbing the ladder.
