The former Clarion Inn at the corner of Shiloh Drive and Highway 62 has been demolished.

25 years ago that was a fairly nice place but had really become an eyesore more recently.  With that I49 exit being somewhat the 'front door' to the University, and considering the Razorback Foundations involvement, it will be interesting to see what develops on the property.  Article on 'Talk Business' mentions a future mixed use including a medical company.

According to the Fayetteville Flyer, Dunkin Donuts on MLK has closed and Slim Chickens will be moving into that building.  This will be the 5th location in City for the Fayetteville based chain.

Also looks like a 2nd Dairy Queen will be moving into the old Hardee's building on MLK.  Construction has started on the first location on the City's east side near Mission and Crossover.

I'll say it again. The first half decent fast food chain that locates at Huntsville and Crossover will make big bucks.
