Downtown Master Plan

The Savannah Development and Renewal Authority, the City of Savannah and the Metropolitan Planning Commission have been working to draft a new Downtown Savannah Master Plan. In May 2007, the preliminary recommendations of the Plan were presented to the public. Responses demonstrated general support for the plan but indicated the need for a more discussion on the subject of large-scale development. A public meeting was held in September 2007 focusing specifically on design and land-use related to large scale development. The final document will be presented publicly, and then submitted to the City Council for adoption.
