Per Charlotte Ledger, the land at 4th and Brevard across from CTC sold for $11M.   This is the Norfolk Southern land they were slow to let go of.    I am incredibly excited about this.  White Point Pa

Well they are apparently doing some work to the exterior of the Blake/Le Meridian.  I was just came across this on tripadvisor.  It's taken from the Blake/Sheraton next door and is dated 10/19/13

Nope.  Look at the link.  It was someone staying at the Sheraton on October 19th.

 

Edit: Now I am confused I looked again and the photo says October 2012.   Maybe it was after the DNC?

Does anyone know what BofA is doing on their plaza at trade and tryon?

Routine entrance maintenance, the building is nearly 25 years old. Read an article about it recently.

Was wondering if they were working on plaza waterproofing or somesuch. Hopefully it's fixed faster than the jukebox's plaza.

 

I think a few months (maybe close to 3-5)  Can't recall exactly.  A friend works for a company that bid on the job but didn't get it and mentioned the timeline in passing once.

I was walking by The Childress Klein tower today and I asked a construction worker if there was going to be retail in the building... He said " Yes and I think it's all going to be on the bottom floor" haha So not super reliable, but I suppose there is a glimpse of hope.

I'll look at the construction docs for the 4th time.

 

Edit: That's not supposed to sound snarky.

I mean this is the most recent Approved Plan. Its possible they moved fitness and the Business Center to the Amenity Floor and opened that up as a retail spot...

Yeah, I drove by today and it doesn't look like any work has been done on the exterior. Also,it appears that this tower is actually still open. It's now called something like "Charlotte Uptown Hotel" - I.e. a generic name so that they can still make money during the renovations, just like the Charlotte Plaza, which is really just a placeholder hotel in between the Crowne Plaza and the Fairfield Suites until they finish the renovations.

Yeah - we kind of realized that yesterday that I made a mistake with the date.  That;s what's kind of cool though about this board.  If there's a rumor - one of us will check it out!
