Belmont Univ. Frist College of Medicine (6 stories, 160,000 sq. ft., 350 capacity underground garage) update: Excavation/blasting getting some depth in sections.

I had completely missed that Belmont was even opening a medical school! Huge addition for the university and a win for the city. I saw that they were going to be partnering with HCA to provide hospital teaching, but I wonder if there are any plans for them to build their own medical center any time in the near future so they don't have to rely on a third party (especially HCA and the political baggage that may come along with it).

With the Frist family connection to the university and to HCA, I’d think Belmont  wouldn’t  need to worry about building a medical center of their own.
