Given that to overhaul and update all of 264 is a price tag of over $1 billion, a quarter of that for the most problematic part of the interchange (heading westbound already had a flyover and two merge lane) in addition to eliminating loops, etc, all in all a good deal. Looking forward to this project. And it's almost completely paid for already.

You can throw all the money at it you want, that will not fix idiot drivers, rubberneckers, grandmothers and grandpa's on the road. Traffic and flow well with these conditions if the world was filled with better more considerate drivers. You can make 16 lanes if you want, still going to be the same issues. Mass transist is the only real fix...
