SouthEnd Midrise Projects

Looks like a summer start with one of the towers with completion next year according to Business Journal. http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2017/01/09/first-look-beacons-latest-south-end-project-to.html   And lots of demand it seems.   This is an article from earlier in the year but it does say a summer start wonder if that is still the case.

Here is the article dated from today  talking about up to 10 stories http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2017/06/20/beacons-latest-south-end-project-could-become.html?ana=e_ae_set1&s=scroll&ed=2017-06-20&u=oAaDx%2B74FoP4qOJ%2By4AU6dhJPpc&t=1497986479&j=78417081

Anyone have information on the building on the west side of the new Common Market?  It was initially slated as a second phase of apartments being built by Pollack Shores on the parcel next door, but it is now being permitted as:

307 TREMONT
UPFIT OF EXISTING BUILDINGS (REUSE EXISTING STRUCTURES) AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS.

During rezoning meetings, it sounded like Phase II of the apartments could be built down the road, but the existing buildings will stay in place in the near term.

It's the place that has always been a purple-ish/charcoal color. With French balconies on the second floor windows, no?

Helix townhomes near the Design Center are wrapping up. SouthPoint townhomes: I heard today they are expanding this community  where 2 buildings are located on Remount Rd and they would have cornered the catering business in. Also And view of Belton St where David Weekley and Pulte are building townhomes and single family homes except for a few holdouts.

Asana's Design District building on Tremont being renovated just up from the new Common Market location. And renovation wrapping up on Dunavant St 1950s building near King of Pops location.
