Various SouthEnd projects today in a KJ drive by. 

1.  Jewel box retail space in from DCC or Nebel Mill as my grandmother knew it.   2. 3. 4. Lennar apartments looking great and tall   5, Bainbridge apartments on South 6. new townhomes on Dunavant forget their name   7. New Asana renovation on Tremont  8.  New office I think on W Tremont  9.  Holiday Inn Express is installing glass now

I tried to drive by yesterday but South Blvd northbound was one lane and backed up  and I had to turn around at Publix so I missed it.

This view looking up Tryon has changed so much from two years ago.  Feels so urban driving into town now. Can’t wait to see more development between The Railyard and Uptown- with height, hopefully.

I wonder who the lucky tenants will be at New Bern station that get to look directly at some transformers. Or will these particular lines get buried?

Believe it or not, the lines along South are being buried and along New Bern they are being majorly cleaned up. As you can see they continue along a undergound conduit (UGC) and coming up to a pole at South & New Bern

They are finally laying steel at the 300 W Summit site.  The view of DFA from that spot is pretty cool too.

Couple miscellaneous projects in SouthEnd.  Today. 1. new Holiday Inn Express rising on S Tryon 2.  Solis SouthEnd apartments (anyone know about retail tenants?) 3. Bainbridge apartments for their name 4.  another tower going up right @elrodvt  love me some Macs Speedshop  5.  Camden Grandview rental townhomes.

Just remember there are 4 metro locations and I have been seen at all of them.

First time at this one in quite some time. I have found if you don't drive down South Blvd regularly it changes so much.   I do agree with others on here Camden will be the real shopping street as the traffic is not as heavy and it seems to be developing that way.  South Blvd is so busy and I remember thinking that Lowes might have it tough there but now there are thousands of apartments nearby to help support it not to mention all the new infill houses being built all around.  The new development duplexes and condos behind Macs has finally started. I much as a like Macs I don't think I would want to live that close.

Interesting about Wells branch possibly maybe they want to consolidate into their office at South and New Bern.  They are closing some branches around town to pare their network.

For many years, from Stonewall to Ideal Way on South Boulevard, that branch was the only drive-in facility of any kind. The Eckerd/RiteAid at South and East then added its presence. Drive-ins are a suburban design and if the bank disappears I hope some more intensive use follows.

I’m not 100%, but almost positive Wells doesn’t own the land
