They own 21 parcels city wide in some VERY prominent areas. I recommend going to http://polaris3g.mecklenburgcountync.gov and typing "Commercial Development Holdings LLC" they own a lot! NoDa, LoSo, everywhere.

I just hope if the bakery leaves that site they stay in the county as manufacturing jobs are important and maybe they can relocate to an opportunity zone.   Smart people in real estate and with holdings always know when to cash out and move on.

In reading social media comments, this is what people want:

-transit friendly with ample parking 

-walkable neighborhoods but no height, no density, and definitely no more apartments 

-no more local breweries but no more chain restaurants 

-more local restaurants but they need to be cheap 

-old time local places that they haven’t been to in 10 years must stay open. They still won’t go to them but it makes them feel good that they still exist 

-lots of new retail locations from companies currently going through bankruptcy. 

-no office buildings outside of uptown but a short commute from where they live

If this does happen ( or anything big to the parcel for sale), would there be enough development / existing entertainment in this area to warrant another light rail stop?  I'd say yes. It would provide a great infill station halfway between Scaleybark and Woodlawn.

Various Southend shots and this is the new great wall of Charlotte.  The Hub apartments by RAM. 

1.  really like this building at W Tremont and S Tryon    2 the great wall of Charlotte (apartments)  3. skyline from South Blvd  4. Tompkins Toolworks is a great historical building and save

5,  Spectrum TW Cable's renovations looks a lot better than before.

Anybody know what the rezoning request is for at Mr K’s and Leather & lace?  I know that family owns at atleast those 2 lots maybe the nursery behind it.  Saw a rezoning sign on the pole out front.  Can’t believe they haven’t put a ton of money into a Reno of L&L the past 5 years for all the new apts in the hood.  It’s a great location.  Guess they didn’t have a long lease left

It's just the 102 rezoning for the entire TOD, they haven't taken all these down yet.
