A perspective for South End progress: When the CVS opened on South at Park I went in while they were stocking for the first weekend. The manager said please come and shop with them and then clearly offered that his store would sell NO screwtop wines. It was important to make that distinction to a neighbor so he could distinguish his store from others. Screwtops were a problem then, if you can imagine. (Chilly Willy was also an occasional neighborhood visitor).

He had some mighty interesting stories. I have a photo somewhere that I took of the brief memorial street art someone made of him on Central where central records used to be. I'm gonna try and find it.

These are ground to roof high quality materials, they have certainly not been built all over the city.

I was speaking Moreso on the design aspect rather than the materials. Tho I love that Simone said that these will be brick and concrete all the way up

Design wise, it looks nothing like anything else. either.  No blank walls, 11k of retail, no painfully visible parking structure. Great sized windows, and they are really evenly and attractively spaced.

I have never noticed how Camden Southend (Palmer and College) used the same architect as the Quality Inn out by the interstate.

nah. Theres still another couple floors of parking deck to grow around the steel frame. I talked to the developer last week, it will be late June before this thing really starts to fly, theres another 6-8 weeks of concrete pouring and steel bracing work.
