Five Guys signage is now up at the Bradham. 

I will say that retail signage (even when crappy) really does make a stick built apartment look closer to ‘proper urban’

Lots of new lighted ped crossings on South Blvd. First is at Macs/Southbound (which was open again), second photo is at the Soth end of Atherton. There was a third down around Tyvola (I think), and its possible I missed another. They are good additions, but only a minority of drivers understand how they work. They will only be helpful if drivers see them as traffic calming devices, the South blvd race track needs to go away.

 

 

Bonus: The condos at Leather and Lace are a remarkable transformation (without much really changing).

These Broadstone QC apartments at W Morehead and S Tryon really growing on me especially with this pool.  Every major city has a glass front pool like this glad we finally have one.  Great location for QC Grounds too on that corner cap.

I mean...do they design these apartments nowadays with their eyes closed..because the materials and colors just don’t look good at all together.

Designers were probably trying not to have a solid color along the building since this block is so long.  I think the different colors and patterns make it interesting to look at if not perfectly color matched.  I think it looks good and distinctive.

So this is pretty cool. Public art in a new plaza that really needs some public art (at the Bradham). Also a nod to “history” (Charlotte history timelines are much shorter than everywhere else),  its crushed Pepsi cans.

No, They are part of the installation, that is what makes this so Charlotte.

Another 5-6 of these sorts of things along the rail trail would really make it a destination for Charlotte.

Lol, I just didn't know if they were a barrier to prevent touching if the installation isn't permanent.

Pretty sure its permanent, but all I know is what I read in the Ledger.
