In town just overnight went by Old Salem and downtown.    Photos today. 

 What is the name of the old Wachovia Bank and Trust bldg on Main St (not the Winston Tower) the much older building next to Hall of Justice?  It looks the like headquarters before the Winston Tower bldg.

Because of the nature of my profession Im able to hear and see some developments that may be in the works. Through discussion with some coworkers I saw what appears to be a 10 story apartment building planned for Cherry St/4th st near the Nissen Building. Not sure if anyone else has heard about it.

Interesting and nice-looking development. Though, I thought it was funny that they are using a picture of Trade and Tryon as one of the banner images on their website. You can even see the Duke Energy HQ in the background.

Winston Salem downtown feels more urban to me than even Raleigh.  I think it is tall buildings mixed with a lot of older factories turned offices, apartments etc.  The old Forsyth County courthouse is becoming apartments right in the heart of downtown across from the Winston Tower and Kimpton aka old RJR Reynolds Building.    Downtown Winston today.  

Lots of photos of downtown as I only get up there a couple times a  year.   Winston has a great collection of buildings and many restored which is fantastic.
