Seems like there was a rumor in Spartanburg recently that they were going to expand their production capacity.

BMW announced some time ago, that production would increase from 150,000 vehicles per year to 240,00 vehicles per year. I'm sure that will part of this official announcement. But rumor I'm hearing is that this announcement will include additional jobs, as well as additional building / physical expansion at the factory.

Actually, this topic should really be discussed in the Greenville and Spartanburg economic development threads. This expansion notice was specifically mentioned in the Herald-Journal about a month ago, so there has already been some discussion on the Spartanburg thread as well as Greenville's.
