February in Washington D.C.

I was fortunate enough to make a trip up to Washington D.C. in February, and I came back with plenty of photos. D.C. has always been one of my favorite cities, and although this was my 7th trip, it was my first time to explore the Adams Morgan neighborhood. I highly recommend it to anyone who has never gotten out into that part of town or is making their first trip to our nation's capital. It's an easy walk from Dupont Circle, and an even easier Metro ride.

Now, here are some of the photos I managed to snap in the two days that the weather cooperated with me. Hope you enjoy!

We'll start off in Georgetown and Rosslyn

The National Zoological Park, in the middle of one of America's most urban cities, is quite a site

Thanks so much for posting these great photos! A lot of them show a side of DC that I've never seen. The last time I was there was several years ago and I quite honestly can't remember a whole lot about the city other than the memorials. Unfortunately most photos of DC seem to focus on the memorials instead of the city itself so I'm glad you chose to display the city side of DC.

Yes indeed Nate, fantastic shots! Thanks for the tour of DC. Got the chance to go there 10 years ago but missed too much. I can see why it's one of your favorite cities. DC proves you can be truly urban w/o the tall skyscrapers. Wow it's dense!

BTW whats's the name of the small waterway/canal??
