Ditto Landing Makeover

Ditto Landing is planning a makeover. I think they just dust this story off every nine months or so and reprint it...

The Huntsville-Madison County Marina and Port Authority is mulling a $2 million plan that would add slips for larger yachts, dock space with hookups for overnighting vessels, and a new fuel dock with a well-stocked "ship store."

Administrative offices would relocate to the fuel dock, freeing the office pavilion overlooking the river for rent-paying events like parties.

I am a "water guy." I love boats, and rivers and all that, but we have to have one of the ugliest stretches of river I have ever seen (that isn't full of Industrial stuff). Whenever I go down to Ditto, I just get depressed, who would hold a party there?
