Greenville #1 in State for Walking

Greenville has ranked #1 in South Carolina, and #36 in the Nation for walkability.

The study cited easy-to-cross roads and the city's wide sidewalks, which it said were set back from traffic. The city also had the state's highest parks-to-land ratio and the fewest cars per household.

Its important to recognize that the CITY has a very high volume of parks per square mile.

Greenville also made the list of "best walking cities in america" in the 'cities known for green spaces' category by Prevention Magazine.
