There are many diffrent rumors floating around about what is coming to Baton Rouge and I just want to see if they are true and do you guys know anything about them.

The 3 rumors are:

1) Dave and Busters is coming to BR

2) Forever 21 will be coming to BR and will have a 2 floor section in the Mall of Louisiana.

3) The Ritz Carlton will build a hotel on bluebonnet rd.

I can confirm the forever 21, it is on the mall's website. lol

There is a rumor that the Ritz were building a 40 story tower on 3rd street near Avoyelle's Cafe.

The Dave and Buster's wouldn't surprise me. I'd place a bet that it would be in a very suburban area, like Sherwood, College, or Siegen/Bluebonnet.

FYI I didn't really hear anything about the Ritz. It's not going downtown.

I heard Dave & Busters would team up with Avenue E, the upscale bowling alley as part of a entertainment complex downtown! Complete with a small cinema inside the city's largest parking garage. With offices and condotel tower on top

Well I'm not sure if ya'll remember or not, but there was an article in either the advocate, or BR business report, and in it the mentioned the pinnacle casino hotel. In the article, they said that they might try to brand the hotel as a four seasons, or ritz, because they see a demand for it.

I would be very surprised to see a Ritz-Carlton or a Four Seasons in Baton Rouge. A better fit would be a Westin hotel. Hyatt might also make sense. I'm not saying this to be dismissive or belittling in any way. I just don't think the market in Baton Rouge is quite ready for these brands. Maybe a few years down the road...
