Fulton St. Has Gone LED

5 posts in this topic

I cant say how far east they go, I only happen to notice them as I was crossing Fulton on Lafayette. There is no cover on the "bulbs" and the lights are very brilliant.

Sorry I have no photos.

(If this isnt news to everyone, I apologize!)

Well that has to be an improvement. With all this new-fangled technology, next thing you know they'll lighting highways and embedding reflectors in the road so you can see the lanes at night or in poor weather conditions! ;)

While I was Chicago on spring break last week noticed alot of the major roads their had reflectors would be a great idea for when it snows and hard to see.

I've always wondered why we didn't have reflectors on the road. Most of the glued on ones would fail due to plowing, and i assume it'd be too hard to put them in concrete or HMA, level with the surface.
