The Chancel Choir with orchestra will present The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace on March 16, 2008, Palm Sunday evening, at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace will be a multi-media presentation that includes captivating footage of the preparation for war, the instruments of battle and the devastation of war to the established order of life. The concert is free to congregation and community.

The Armed Man is a 15th century melody so popular in its day that it was used as the basis for numerous mass settings by many of the important composers of that age. The text of the first verse is:
