Houses to be demolished?

Hi All!

Does anyone know what happens to homes that are currently on parcels of land bought by developers to be turned

into retail shops/apartments?

The reason I ask is that there are 2 or 3 houses on South Church street that appear to have been sold by the owners

to the developers on a planned strip-mall type retail development across from Kroger (the signs just popped up 2 days ago).

I'm wondering if the houses will be demolished or moved before construction starts? One is a very historic-looking pale yellow house

with beautiful architectural trimwork, and I would just HATE to see it knocked down if it could be moved or saved.

The other two are 50's-60's style brick ranch houses.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know the ones you are referring to. I do not know what will happen to them, but with another stripe center on that site and the proposed super center just down the road past the new Camino Real, the traffic will be an even bigger nitghtmare even with 7 lanes. Although the new super center has met som eopposition, I am happy to have one (wal mart) closer to my home.
