Elmington Apartments converting to condos

This is from the Tennessean today:

These apartments are on the left just past 440 going out of town on West End Blvd. This is a small 3 story building, but I am glad to see the building being converted to condos instead of it being torn down for a newer development. I praise the owners of this building for a smart move. This building will be safe for a long time.

i watched a news story on channel 5 about this the other day. they are giving renters first dibs on the condos.

i think we should keep some rental units out in midtown. you dont want a bunch of condos and thats it. you need all levels of wealth out there to have a healthy functional part of town.
