Walking around Boise this morning

Very clean, small city. It's still chilly here but the snow on the nearby mountains is very beautiful.

The state capital building is not much to look at. It has a small condensed downtown like Hartford. Lots of two story buildings give the city a intimate, charming feeling. I like skylines as much as the next guy, probably more. But these low rises especially the older brick ones really give a place character.

The city doesn't have a skyline or very much that looks like it was built after 1990. The tallest looks under 20 stories. The newer building belong to Boise State University. BSU is right downtown and it puts a lot of kids o the street which is nice.
