Metal Scrapping Legislation

Recommended Posts

It's been out of control up in Saginaw now. Alot of public places are seeing roofs, light fixtures, ornamental details ripped off and sold for $3/pound.

Economically, it's not worth it except to a few people who once and awhile cash in big. I think the city will get close to banning scrapping entirely now that it has hit their own property.

Saying this blew up the forum at me on DYes a couple years ago since apparently some people actually make money this way. But I'm sorry, with the exception of getting rid of a dead car, if you are that desperate to go and turn in a couple pounds of copper wiring for cash, you really need to find real work. Can't find it here in Michigan? Leave, and stop ripping our cities apart.
