Greenville got a big shout out over the weekend. When Peter Greenberg listed Greenville a hotspot to travel to. Calling us the new Austin. And for those who have been to Austin, TX, that's a big compliment. Here's the article in the Greenvilleonline and the associated link to the CBS video: http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/from-denmark-to-egypt-2015s-hottest-new-vacation-destinations/ and http://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/local/2015/01/04/cbs-greenville-hot-travel-destination/21260869/ . The only other U.S. city he mentioned was L.A.

I received my issue of AAA Go Magazine today. On the front cover, it says Greenville on the top right corner and inside the issue is a large three page spread on Greenville. :) Here is the article: http://carolinas.aaa.com/sites/GoMagazine/articles/archive/2014/12/28/greenville-bike-ride-or-walk.aspx

Here's another shout out to Greenville in the Huffington Post. But the name of the article is misleading in a fun way though. Here's the link:

http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6409060 , 9 reasons not to visit Greenville.

Huffington Post needs to employ an editor. I realize the author is a local chef (obviously not a professional writer), but his blog was published with glaring errors. Aside from that, I didn't see anything unusual about the topics he chose to highlight, except the city's fiscal responsibility. The food menus and architectural elements are common in many U.S. cities today. Edited by Skyliner

Are they using Greenville's 60K residents as the denominator for measuring these statistics?  If so, that will distort the math compared with larger cities.
