Division & 5th to be narrowed

Currently, the most notable stretches of these streets are between Huron and William where they are 4 lanes wide. I always thought that was a bit too wide and a waste of parking opportunities

So...

The site below shows the modifications that will be done on both corridors. I like the additional bike lanes, and of course additional street parking is always welcome for easier access to businesses and traffic calming.

The area near Kerrytown especially needs this work, if for no other reason than the road is in terrible condition. I swear I nearly knock out my suspension every time I drive through there.

On a different note, I had always thought that division-5th street would be a great parallel pair for running a street car north across the broadway bridge. Oh well, pipe dreams I guess.
