I'm hearing that it gonna be the town buying this. This has been a real dead spot for the town for a while, nice to see some movement.

looks like the development will not happen.

I am fine with that. it would have been sprawl. looks like the developer will now keep 20 acres and build 25 houses.

I liked what one council member stated.

Art Powers, a former mayor and one of the speakers Tuesday night, told the council that buying undeveloped land to preserve it is a long-term bargain that future generations will appreciate.

As for the cost, "20 years from now, it will seem like a bargain," he said.
