Equestrian Center Could Bring In Billions

Recommended Posts

Texarkana, Ark has set aside 1.2 million to build equestrian project for horse and livestock events. The center slated for completion in January 2009, will be 54,000 square feet and have a 120 ft. by 300 ft. arena and 210 horse stalls. This center will be looked at as the center of the entire Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana region. This facility has the potential to bring in national or even world events says Texarkana, Ark Mayor Horace Shipp. Some of the events to be featured at the new equestrian center would be team roping, barrel racing, cutting horse competitions, horse and livestock shows. This will be a huge boost to the economy of the Texarkana area. People coming here for these events would spend their money eating and sleeping in our restaurants and hotels not to mention shopping in our stores.
