Grad certificate in URP?

What would a grad certificate in Urban and Regional Planning qualify me for if anything? I plan on going to graduate school for a Masters of Public Admin and I think knowledge in URP would be valuable, right now I'm just trying to make a graduate strategy. If a certificate in URP would qualify me for anything it would be nice to have a decent job while in school for an MPA.
