City of Columbia to sponsor S.C. Gay Pride

The South Carolina gay pride movement is getting a boost for its 2008 event in Finlay Park. City council voted to use a hospitality tax grant for the affair and is encouraging all South Carolinians regardless of sexual orientation to come have fun in the Park.

City Council also recently passed an ordinance banning housing discrimnation based on sexual orientation. It was a unamimous vote.

The festival has gotten bigger and bigger every year. Would love to see a massive crowd at Finlay Park this year.
