Arkansas Repertory Theater (The Rep)

Apologies if a thread already exists. I did a search and found nothing.

I know we've talked about this in other threads, but The Rep is finally moving forward with the plans to improve its home on Main Street. According to their capital campaign letter, they are seeking a $6 million upgrade that includes securing space for construction and storage of productions (this part is complete), renovations to their 17 unit guest actor housing (to be complete in July 2008) and complete renovation of their theater space.

During their silent contribution phase, they've raised approx $3.5 million.

Hopefully these improvements will spark continued improvements along Main.

I think your seeing their plan B right now... They could pitch a second campus again, but I bet the REP won't do it for another 3 - 5 years.

I bet you are right, but they are tying themselves down if they spend this kind of bank on the current theater.

I went to Les Miserables Friday and they had a recording of Ginger Beebe pimping the fundraising campaign.
