Casino issues

What do you think of all this? Work has stopped on the casino until Don Barden can come up with several million dollars to pay workers. He is also scaling back the plans (see link below) for amenities around the casino.

Personally I am extremely irritated. I have been unhappy with the whole thing right from the start, because I wanted Isle of Capri to be chosen. I tried to put that feeling aside, but now Barden is postponing or completely ditching plans for riverfront development around the casino. And don't forget the ugly parking garage he wants to build. I fear this is going to be a disaster, and a waste of riverfront property.

I blame the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for not auctioning off the licenses... which is what they have done in other states... secondly, I blame the Gaming Control Board... they obviously made a poor decision...

So it's been open a few months. Anyone gone down and dropped a few quarters in the slots? How is it? Is it worth visiting when I come up to see my folks?
