City of Grand Rapids reverses population trend

2007 was the first year since the 2000 census where City population grew.

That's pretty significant, even if the actual growth was anemic (.07% last year).

The area as a whole continues to grow at a healthy clip (.62% last year in Kent County, nearly 5% since 2000).

Nifty searchable database:

I would like to see the numbers, but the WZZM search database thingamajig is broken. It would be nice if they told the story: "Michigan cities bleeding residents, exceptions." Bucking the trend seems pretty news worthy even if it's just .07%.
